Chef, cooking show host, and restaurateur Billie Blessings is excited to learn that her boss, Gretchen DiVoss - the President of Programming for the network - has hired celebrity interior designer Marian Robbins to redecorate the studio's offices... but Billie isn't just a fan of Marian's work, Marian is actually Billie's best friend from high school and Billie can't wait to reconnect with her. That is until Marian's identical twin sister, Jasmine, turns up dead the day after Billie hosts a birthday party for the twins at the restaurant. Homicide detective - and Billie's boyfriend - Ian Jackson and his partner, Vinnie Hawk, begin their investigation only to find that things with the murder scene just don't add up. On the outside, Jasmine's death appears to be a tragic case of someone being at the wrong place at the wrong time, but it's immediately clear to Ian and Hawk that this crime of opportunity isn't random at all... it's murder.
