Morning Show Mysteries: Countdown to Murder

Billie Blessings, beloved cookbook author and cooking show host, has been buying supplies at Fairchild Markets since she was a little girl, so she is dismayed when one of the owners of the popular grocery store chain and a personal friend is found dead, crushed by collapsing shelves. The victim's children turn to Billie for help, convinced their father was killed by a hostile partner who left a cartoon duck as a signature. When Billie discovers the duck comes from a children's countdown song, Five Little Ducks, she wonders if there could be more victims in store. Her theory seems farfetched until a second owner is found dead with a cartoon duck. Ian Jackson, lead detective on both cases, makes Billie promise to stay out of it - they have just rekindled their relationship, and Ian doesn't want things to get complicated. But when somebody close to Billie gets duck number three, she doesn't have a choice. She needs to find the duck-killer, before they strike again.
