Where Are You, Christmas?
Addison Dean is a marketing executive returning home from her last project before the holidays. As a child, Addison loved the holidays, but as work, life and adulthood got in way, Christmas lost its specialness. Addison has become a bit jaded with all the commerciality of Christmas. What’s the point? When she arrives back in Red Lake Falls, a real “Whoville” when it comes to Christmas, the stress of the holiday, and the criticizing from her family causes her to wish for Christmas not to exist. When Addison blacks out from her car veering off the road, she wakes up in a world of black and white (hello, Pleasantville). When she enters the town looking for help, she notices that there is no sign of Christmas at all... no decorations, trees or lights. When she begins to ask the townspeople about it, they have no idea what she’s talking about – they don’t even know what “Christmas” is. Addison is further dumbfounded when her family, who always loved Christmas, have no idea what she’s talking about. But when the town mechanic, Hunter, is reminded of a Christmas memory, he is brought back to color. Addison and Nicholas team up to try and bring the spirit and joy of Christmas to her hometown and herself as well. A la Pleasantville, with each person they reach, that person turns back into color and remembers the Christmas spirit. By the end, Addison loses her jadedness and perhaps finds love in the process.
