Mystery on Mistletoe Lane
Uprooting her two kids and moving them into an historic but rough-around-the-edges Boston area mansion hasn’t won recently divorced Heidi Wicks (37), any ‘mom points,’ especially in the middle of the Christmas season. But when her kids, Annie (12) and Garrett (8), start to discover dusty clues in the form of Christmas puzzles hidden around their new home, they soon realize they are living in a special place. While Heidi tries to settle into her new role as Director of the New Hollow Historical society, she butts heads with the old director – the curmudgeonly, albeit quite handsome, David Avery (39). Heidi works diligently to research their new town and inject more Holiday spirit into the neglected Historical Society as the kids continue to uncover clues, and they all ultimately realize that they are living in Mistletoe Manor, a formerly magnificent Christmas attraction famous for its stunning lighting displays, which mysteriously went dark decades ago. David finally joins in on the investigation, pumping his father Wallace for local history, which he is reluctant to share. The hunt hits a dead end until Wallace finally joins in, revealing that he was the boy to whom the gifts were intended, but due to a tragedy that tore his family apart, he never received them – but now he is the key to uncovering the final treasure, crafted by his loving father years ago. Together, they are able to bring Mistletoe Manor back to life for themselves, and the community, inviting everyone to partake in a majestic Christmas celebration, the likes of which their town hasn’t seen for years, but which will continue to live on, never to go dark again.
