The urban theater circuit has made its way to New York City. Playwright, composer, producer and actor JD Lawrence has assembled a reputable cast of big personalities. Living in the same house is facing some challenges, but the show will go on.
Rehearsals have their ups and downs as the cast tries to learn their lines. Ginuwine isn't sure this role is for him, D'atra confronts Kristen about an issue, and the connection between Tondy and Ginuwine is heating up. Finally, after 30 years of baggage and drama with D'atra, Lia is pushed too far.
Tensions are still high in the townhouse and after experiencing the wrath of D’atra, the cast wants nothing to do with her. Rehearsals are divided, D’atra is separated from the rest of the cast, and JD struggles to unite everyone.
In the aftermath of D'atra's firestorms, everyone tries to find some sense of normality to make it through the next four weeks. The drama in the house seems to be calming down, but a tense filled rehearsal triggers Taylour to reignite old issues. When one fire's out, another one starts.
On the heels of yet another blow up with D'atra, the cast chooses to give the "Beyoncé of Theater" the cold shoulder. Meanwhile, Jermaine has an intense conversation with his parents, and the cast is frustrated and concerned that their leading man is so disengaged.
With two weeks left, the cast is down to the wire, and JD has no more time for excuses. Seemingly everyone is getting their act together but an unexpected change to production leaves the entire cast stunned and upset. Will the house be able to weather yet another storm?
