Janakan is childless! His kingdom, Mithilai is reeling under a drought for 12 years. Elsewhere, Raam and his brothers are under the tutelage of Guru Vashishtar. Janakan builds a golden sickle and finds a baby girl as he begins to plough! The baby's first cry brings rainfall!
Janakan wants to check if the baby has a family. He is shocked to see the baby lift Shiva Dhanush. A sage suggests Janakan to keep the baby. Janakan decides to name her, Seetha. Dasharathan is eager to meet his sons. Janakan and his family watch a play performed by Seetha and her sisters.
Seetha plays Goddess Durga in a skit. Janakan admires her performance. Dasharathan visits Guru Vashishta's ashram. He confides his guilt of accidentally killing Shravana Kumar. Later, Dasharathan watches his sons display their combat skills in a competition.
Dasharathan watches Raam excel in the combat tests conducted by Guru Vashishtar. Elsewhere, Seetha impresses her family by making mud figures. Yogini Sulabha visits Mithilai to test Janakan. She blesses Seetha and predicts that Mithilai shall become the centre of spiritual learning in the future.
Dasarathan enjoys a hearty meal with his sons. Raam notices a wound on Dasarathan's foot and tends to it. Dasarathan recalls Raam's childhood. Elsewhere, Sunaina teaches Seetha how to cook. Kaushalya is sad on thinking about Raam's sister, Shanta. Raam has a vision of Lord Vishnu in his dream.
Raam tells Guru Vashista about his nightmare. Maharishi Gautam tells Janakan that he wants to become Seetha's Guru. Janakan announces at the gyan sabha of rewarding the most knowledgeable person with 1000 cows. Janakan is worried learning that the cows have run away.
