High School Musical: The Musical: The Series

For the first time, East High will stage High School Musical: The Musical and junior, Nini, is ready to play Gabriella! Her new boyfriend, EJ, a total Troy, can't wait to audition with her. The only problem, her ex, Ricky, is suddenly into musicals and transfer student, Gina is determined to nab the role of Gabriella. Looks like there'll be more drama off stage than on!

Dramatic tension is running high as rehearsals kick off and the cast members need to get their heads in the game; E.J. is jealous after losing the leading role of Troy to Ricky.

You can bet on it, trouble is brewing. After "losing" her phone and missing an important rehearsal, Nini suspects Gina is responsible for her bout with bad luck and surprisingly retaliates. EJ confronts Ricky about a heartfelt voicemail left for Nini. Meanwhile, Mr. Mazzara becomes suspicious of Miss Jenn's past.

Nini and E.J.'s relationship is tested when Nini realizes E.J. has been lying since they met; Gina comes to E.J. with a scheme to take the part of Gabriella away from Nini; Ricky's parents drop a devastating bombshell.

Miss Jenn has a girl's night out with Kourtney and Nini to help shake off the boy drama; the rest of the theater kids attend the East High Homecoming dance, where Carlos learns to dance like everyone's watching.

After being put on a temporary suspension, Miss Jenn is forced to leave Carlos in charge; rehearsal turns into a disaster when he lets it slip that Miss Jenn could lose her job, bringing the cast together to help save her job and the show.
