Sean Schemmel
Sean Schemmel is a prolific voice actor who has primarily worked on American versions of Japanese anime, most notably playing Goku on "Dragon Ball Z" and its many spin-offs. Schemmel began doing voice work during the mid-1980s, and started portraying the heroic role of Goku on the popular action/fantasy series "Dragon Ball Z" in '89. During the this time, he also voiced other characters on the show, including King Kai and Nail, though other "Dragon Ball Z" productions mostly featured him as Goku. Outside of the "Dragon Ball Z" universe, Schemmel has voiced characters on other anime series, including "Blue Gender," "Pokemon," and "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX," and he has been featured on the animated "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series as well. Remarkably, much of Schemmel's decades-spanning career has consisted of providing the voice of Goku as both a teen and an adult, a role that also extends to the many "Dragon Ball Z" video games.
