Lucy Walters
Lucy Walters was an American actress who nabbed her breakout role in 2017 when she joined the cast of the TV series "Get Shorty" (Epix, 2017-), based on the Elmore Leonard novel and subsequent hit film. Walters' love of performance began at a young age, when she first picked up the violin. She instantly fell in love and dreamt of becoming a professional violinist. As she grew into her late teens, however, Walters became fascinated by the world of theater, and soon turned her attention to acting. She moved to New York City shortly after, with the intention of becoming a theater actress. Walters acted in a number of plays in New York, and before long was auditioning for film and television roles. She started out in TV by landing guest spots on the TV shows "Lipstick Jungle" (NBC, 2008-09) and "Blue Bloods" (CBS, 2010-), all while honing her on-screen acting craft by appearing in a number of student short films. By the 2010s Walters was landing more substantial acting work with small but notable appearances in films like "Shame" (2011), "Lies I Told My Sister" (2014), and "Growing Up and Other Lies" (2014). Then in 2014 she landed her first big break with a recurring role as Holly on the Starz series "Power" (2014-). Walters left "Power" in 2016 and the following year nabbed a part on the TV series "Get Shorty." The series, which is based on the popular Elmore Leonard novel and subsequent hit 1995 movie starring John Travolta, debuted on the Epix network in August of 2017.
