La La Anthony

La La Anthony's career in the world of entertainment started young. In the mid-'90s, she interned at Atlanta's Hot 97 radio station as a teenager, which eventually led to her hosting a radio show on the station. Throughout the rest of her teens, she stayed in radio, until, at age 22, she joined MTV and co-hosted Total Request Live at the height of the show's popularity. Around the same time, Anthony made her acting debut in "Two Can Play That Game" (2001). In 2003, she left MTV to pursue other opportunities, including creating her own production company, entitled Krossover Productions. She also started dating NBA superstar Carmelo Anthony, becoming engaged to the athlete in 2004. In 2010, she starred in "La La's Full Court Wedding" (VH1 2010), a reality show based on her pending nuptials to Carmelo Anthony. The show was one of VH1's biggest hits, and led to a follow-up show entitled "La La's Full Court Life" (VH1 2011-2014). During the run of the show, Anthony also appeared in "Think Like a Man" (2012) and its sequel, "Think Like a Man Too" (2014). As her hosting and reality show career winded down, she turned to acting more often. In 2014, she joined the cast of the crime drama "Power" (Starz 2014-), becoming a series regular by the third season. Anthony also appeared in Spike Lee's "Chi-Raq" (2015) and in the police procedural "Unforgettable" (CBS 2011-14; A+E, 2015-16).
