Jeremy Roberts

A veteran American character actor, Jeremy Roberts is best known for his roles in the "Star Trek" franchise. Born in Alabama, Roberts moved to Hollywood as a child and later enrolled in the Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam. In his 20s he traveled with the American Conservatory Theater and had his first TV roles in the late 1980s on shows like "21 Jump Street" and the mystery "Murder, She Wrote." Small parts in TV movies like "Peter Gunn" led to longer-term roles on "Jake and the Fatman" and "Matlock." Playing Lieutenant Dimitri Valtane, he had a role in the 1991 feature "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country" and later reprised his part on the sci-fi TV spinoff, "Star Trek: Voyager." In addition to the odd recurring role on TV shows like "Sunset Beach" or the crime drama "The Practice," he also made appearances in the Jim Carrey vehicle "The Mask" and the 2001 adventure "The Mexican," and was a supporting cast member in the fantasy film "The Thirteenth Floor."
