Caterina Guzzanti

Caterina Guzzanti

While she began her career in the shadow of her comedian siblings Corrado and Sabina, Caterina Guzzanti quickly proved that she was capable of holding her own as an entertainer. She is best known as the bossy and neurotic assistant director Arianna on the popular Italian comedy series "Boris," which aired from 2007 to 2010. Along with her brother and sister, Guzzanti was a regular performer on the mid-90s sketch comedy series "Pippo Chennedy Show ," which featured the trio performing impressions of celebrities and politicians. She made the leap to film in 1998 with a small role in the zany comedy "Le faremo tanto male," about a pair of animal rights activists who kidnap an actress known for endorsing fur clothing. After appearing in a handful of comedies throughout the 2000s, Guzzanti became a featured player on the sketch-based comedy show "Parla con me" and debuted her hysterical impressions of famous faces such as Sarah Palin and ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell. One of her most well-known characters is "Facebook Girl," a woman who relies on the ubiquitous social network for all aspects of daily life. In 2011, Guzzanti reprised her "Boris" role in the feature-length adaptation of the series, "Boris: Il Film."
