Bettina Zimmermann
Statuesque and striking brunette Bettina Zimmermann is often cited as one of the most beautiful actresses in Germany. Getting her start as a fashion model in the 1990s, she soon discovered a love of performing and began studying acting in Hamburg. Her cinematic career began in 1999 when she was cast alongside movie legend Maximilian Schell in the feature "Just Messing About." A slew of appearances in German television and film productions followed, most notably recurring roles in the 2001 comedic crime series "Bronski & Bernstein" and the 2007 science fiction series "2030 - Aufstand der Alten." She has also appeared in many television commercials and in 2000, she starred in a series of ads for Expo 2000, the World's Fair held in her home city of Hanover. Lending her talents to everything from farcical comedies like "Erkan & Stefan gegen die Mächte der Finsternis" to the popular, long-running German detective series "Donna Leon" to the 2011 thriller " The Seduction - The Strange Girl," Zimmermann balances her varied acting career with motherhood and running a business. She co-owns and operates Amber Lounge, a fashion boutique in Munich, and in October of 2008, she and cameraman Vladimir Subotic welcomed a son into the world.
