Andy Bean

Andy Bean was an American actor who appeared in a diverse range of projects, from YA sci-fi to indie dramas to big budget action tentpoles. A Texas native, Bean studied acting at the Quad C Theatre program at Collin County Community College in Plano, TX. After making his screen debut in the short "Neptunus Rex" (2007), Bean landed a series regular gig on the hip-hop crime drama "Power" (Starz, 2014-), produced by rapper Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. Bean made his big screen debut in the YA sci-fi flop "The Divergent Series: Allegiant" (2016), the third and most likely final installment in the big screen adaptation of Veronica Roth's dystopian teen book series. He next appeared alongside Michael Shannon in the low-budget Neo-western drama "Poor Boy" (2016). After leaving "Power" in 2016, Bean cleared his palette by appearing in the quirky sci-fi comedy "Bad Vegan and the Teleportation Machine" (2016). 2017 saw Bean appearing as a lawyer in the fifth installment of Michael Bay's overstuffed robot fighting series, "Transformers: The Last Knight" (2017), as well as the short films "Leaving Hope" (2017), and "Magic '85" (2017). Bean landed another high profile TV role when he was cast as Henry Bergen alongside Tim Robbins and Holly Hunter on the family dramedy "Here and Now" (HBO, 2018-), created by "American Beauty" (1999) screenwriter Alan Ball, who had previously given the network big hits in the form of "Six Feet Under" (HBO, 2001-05) and "True Blood" (HBO, 2008-2014).
