Navigating Christmas

A Hallmark Channel original movie. Newly divorced Melanie lives in Seattle with her teenage son Jason who is excited for a Christmas ski trip with his dad, but when his dad bails, Melanie searches for a back-up plan, only to find that everything is booked - except for a listing with a photo of a charming island lighthouse. Once ashore, Melanie falls asleep on their first night, only to be awoken by a foghorn - realizing she’s made a mistake. The next day while in a café, Melanie asks whom she can talk to about her lighthouse issues, and is pointed towards Peter, with whom she had a run in on the ferry to the island. He tells her that she booked an immersive experience, where she must act as a real lighthouse keeper during her stay and that it was spelled out in her contract, which she did not read. Melanie and Jason dive into their lighthouse duties and begin to bond, while Peter connects with Jason by teaching him Morse Code – having grown up in the lighthouse, Peter knows all its secrets. Melanie and Peter grow closer as they help prepare the town for the big Christmas festival but when Jason overhears that his dad may have blown him off for his new girlfriend, he runs off. Melanie enlists the townsfolk and Peter to help search for Jason, but will Peter’s clever use of the lighthouse be able to find him and bring him home in time for Christmas?
