S1 E2: Manon, now a full-fledged citizen, takes an active part in political events. With Benjamin, she meets the great tenors of the Revolution and starts having a boundless admiration for Robespierre. But as the famine is ever present, and an overall terror falls upon the nation, Manon ends up rejecting her idol.
