Queen Sugar
I Know My Soul
S2 E7:
Ralph Angel's (Kofi Siriboe) confession continues to cause unrest among his family, as the siblings question their father's intentions. Ralph Angel suggests that Nova only sees his mistakes, which runs contrary to her activism. During the heated family exchange, Charley (Dawn-Lyen Gardner) asks Darla (Bianca Lawson) to prepare a contract for a local farmer, but Ralph Angel insists that she stay for emotional support. Darla resents Ralph Angel's request, as she previously lost a job to help him. As the conversation continues, Charley tells Violet (Tina Lifford) she feels betrayed by her favoritism toward Ralph Angel. Later, Nova's research about the title to her father's land reveals something surprising about Violet's past. Meanwhile, Charley tells Davis (Timon Kyle Durrett) about her plans to publicly reveal their divorce in an interview, and he insists on a joint statement. Ultimately, a conversation with Remy (Dondré T. Whitfield) inspires Charley to finally provide an authentic interview to the reporter.
