The Murder in Kairoutei
Though perhaps not perfect, Jiang Yuan Xing (Deng Jia Jia) was completely happy with her life and for good reason. Not only was Yuan Xing in a beautiful, healthy relationship with the love of her life, but she also had a good job, working as the secretary of a wealthy older gentleman who treated her well. With everything in life seeming to go her way, Yuan Xing believed she was destined to live a long, happy life. Unfortunately, she couldn’t have been more wrong. Invited by her boss to attend a family reunion, Yuan Xing sees no reason why she should decline the offer, so she goes. But soon after her return, everything in her life begins to fall apart around her, starting with the untimely death of her boss. Not long after her boss’ passing, Yuan Xing suffers another blow when she wakes in a hospital and quickly learns that she was trapped in a house fire which has left her burned beyond recognition and her love dead. As she tries to make sense of everything that has happened, a single thought begins to repeat itself over and over inside her head… Realizing that every event leading up to her current situation ties back to that fateful family reunion, Yuan Xing knows what she has to do. Undergoing complete reconstruction of her face, Yuan Xing makes her return in the most dramatic way possible, determined to avenge the death of her love. Will her quest for revenge bring her the closure she needs or will it only serve to inflict more wounds?
