1994. Miramar, Miami. Two girls and a man are executed in cold blood. All evidence shows that one of the killers is a young man of 22, of Spanish descent, called Pablo Ibar.
Pablo, nephew of the most famous Spanish boxer in history, Urtain, looks for help to prove his innocence. He gets support from Spain and from organizations opposed to the death penalty to get new lawyers who appeal and get the mistrial.
The trial starts favorably for Pablo, who sees himself as a free man. But there is still a long way to go.
The prosecution's witnesses put the defense against the ropes. 24 years after the murders, the trial ends and the jury retires to deliberate.
When all hope is lost, a juror changes their mind.
The trial goes to sentencing and Pablo is faced again with death penalty.
