For many, Christmas Eve is a time for joy and celebration; it’s a day for lovers and dreamers, magic and miracles. But when Seiji Suguroji (Ninomiya Kazunari) wakes at a Yamashita warf in Yokohama to find a gunshot victim lying dead in front of him, Christmas Eve turns into a very real nightmare. Now the prime suspect in a murder case he knows nothing about, Seiji begins to follow his blurred memory in a desperate quest for clues that might ultimately clear his name. Following what fragments of memory he can recall, Seiji soon finds himself crashing through the doors of a well-established restaurant owned by renowned chef Tokio Tachiaoi (Takao Osawa). For over eighty years, Tokio’s family has run this restaurant and he, the third generation, is proud to carry on his family’s legacy. But when a wanted murderer comes barging into his over-crowded restaurant on Christmas Eve, Tokio quickly finds himself tangled in a mystery that could very well threaten everything his family has worked so hard to build. Hot on the trail of Seiji is Kikyo Kurauchi (Nakatani Miki), a local newscaster desperate to cover one last case before her career is forced, by the network, to take a different direction. With the lives of three unrelated strangers now beginning to intertwine, their desperate search for answers only serves to bring them closer. Will the truth they seek allow them to settle back into their old lives or will it ultimately change their lives forever?
