October Road

To get over his writer's block, popular author Nick Garrett goes back to the hometown he wrote about to face the people he has avoided for ten years.

Nick decides to stay in town to find out if Sam is his son. He pursues a job at the college and must convince the reluctant dean that he is capable of being a good teacher.

Sam asks Nick to help him get a girl he likes using a technique from his book, leading to disastrous results. Eddie goes on a secret date with Janet.

Nick discovers that his father is involved with Dean Etwood, while his relationship with Aubrey deepens. Eddie decides to go public with his relationship with Janet, but ultimately cannot go through with it.

Hannah, Nick and thew gang sit and wait at the hospital to find out Sam's fate. Physical Phil and Pizza Girl reach a bump in the road. Eddie must face Janet after standing her up.

Nick chooses between Hannah and Aubrey. Physical Phil confronts his fears to win back Pizza Girl. Ray informs Owen about Ikey and Allison.
