2004. Christmas Eve in Thailand. Claire and Gabriel are on vacation, madly in love. But the next morning, Claire wakes up alone in bed to the sounds of screaming.

Claire helps Gabriel approach Birgit, the cyber security chief engineer of the Al Razah research center and an old acquaintance of Claire's from her time working with Hexatom.

Claire has invited two Canadian "investors" and some other expat friends for a romantic dinner in the desert, but it's a trap to set up Doug.

Claire uses the mole's identity card to get into the nuclear power plant; she's the only one that can prevent the catastrophe; back at their hideout, Claire and Gabriel are not ready to let down their guards.
