Lucha Durán spends 11 years in a US prison for a crime she didn't commit. After being released, she is deported to Mexico City with a nursing degree she earned in prison. While there, she begins her long ordeal to find work and a 10-year-old girl she swore to protect. Lucha ignores the fact that her sister Liliana is the cause of all her misfortunes. Detective Daniel Ponce starts pursuing Lucha, and both begin a search for love and redemption.
