Hugo falls deeply in love with Soledad, and his feelings are so grand that he’s willing to tell her his secret: he suffers from catalepsy, an incurable illness. Soledad and Hugo live an intense and beautiful love affair, but they have to fight tooth and nail for their love. Soledad’s parents oppose their relationship. Alcides battles his brother, fighting for Soledad’s love and willing to do anything to obtain it. The jealousy Alcides feels seeing her with Hugo stirs his childhood resentment, which eventually turns him into his twin brother’s worst enemy.
