Earth Signs from Above

Each year, for more than half a century, mysterious and gigantic traces appear overnight in the farmersŠ-È fields. In English they are called Crop Circles, in French they are called agroglyphs or culture circles.

The erection of monumental stones exists in many cultures around the world. But it is on the French Atlantic coast and in the United Kingdom that we find the most spectacular and ancient forms.

In many places on our planet, men and women have left behind mysterious traces of impressive proportions: geoglyphs. From the enigmatic Nazca lines in Peru to the great figures of the English countryside, we seek to uncover their secrets and decipher these symbols from another time.

Land Art was born in the American West at the end of the 1960s. These contemporary art creations are often designed with natural elements, and they are set up in nature, exposed to the vagaries of the weather. Like giant mandalas, Land Art works are often ephemeral traces.
