Xavier Zurita is a Basque notary public who looks like a Basque notary public. His life is as square as the pattern of his shirts. He is single and he seems to need nothing but the little things that he enjoys from his routine.

Xabi is very happy. He found María and she seems to be willing to give him an opportunity, to him! If we put aside the tumor that is killing him, life couldn't be better.

Xabi bought Hotel Benidorm for his beloved María. He knows she didn't have an easy life partially because of him, and, even though it's late, María's dream to run a hotel come true.

Xabi is walking María home after another amazing night when they run into Ricky, María's son, but she doesn't want Xabi to meet him.

It's Benidorm festivities and, in Levante, that means firecrackers and fire. Firecrackers and fire take place in the streets and also in Xabi's forehead, who wakes up soaked in sweat thinking his time had come.

After the tattoo's event, Xabi feels like he's born again.
