After spending a night together, Ignacio travels to America, unaware that Margarita is pregnant. After several years, Margarita's son, Frijolito, is a sensitive, intelligent and very sweet young boy who, despite his mother's unconditional love, suffers a great deal for not knowing who his father is. Ignacio returns to town and does not remember Margarita. Destiny brings father and son together and allows them to care for each other though they remain unaware of their shared blood. Feeling rage and abandonment, Margarita tries to prevent her son from becoming friends with Ignacio, but the bond between them will surpass any obstacles that try to impede their reunion. Only Frijolito's mother knows this and she will suffer in silence, never revealing the truth to her son because of the hatred she feels for the man who supposedly abused her and abandoned her while she was pregnant with their son.
