Sixteen year old Vicky Austin is faced with the impending death of her grandfather, who is suffering from leukemia. In hopes of forgetting her troubles, Vicky begins assisting a researcher named Adam who is working with sea mammals. In this capacity, Vicky discovers that she has the ability to communicate with dolphins.
