Actress Zohra Lampert attended Manhattan's High School of Music and Art and graduated from the University of Chicago prior to performing in the Broadway production "Look We've Come Through," which earned her a Tony nomination. During this time, Lampert also played small roles in "Odds Against Tomorrow," "Pay or Die," and "Posse from Hell." She gained significant attention when she landed a role in Elia Kazan's drama "Splendor in the Grass," starring Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty, and she began to receive some acknowledgement for her acting ability. She again earned a measure of renown when she played the lead in John D. Hancock's thriller "Let's Scare Jessica to Death," and a significant part in John Cassavetes's "Opening Night," starring Gena Rowlands. Lampert also makes an appearance in William Peter Blatty's "The Exorcist III." Before her acting career drastically slowed, she won an Emmy for her work on an episode of "Kojak." Lampert also made guest appearances on the television series "Knight Rider," "Hawaii Five-O," and others.
