Wu Ma

Wu Ma was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Wu Ma's earliest roles were in film, including the Ricky Hui fantastical comedy "Jiangshi Xiansheng" (1986), the action film "Peking Opera Blues" (1989) with Sally Yeh and the Leslie Cheung action picture "A Chinese Ghost Story II" (1990). He also appeared in the action movie "A Chinese Ghost Story" (1991) with Leslie Cheung and the Cheng Songyong drama "A Dai" (1992). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the nineties, appearing in "Hua Pi Zhi Yinyang Fawang" (1992) with Adam Cheng, "Once Upon A Time In China" (1992) and "Shanghai Jiaqi" (1992). He also appeared in the Dicky Cheung comedy "Zhi shi huo tui" (1993) and the drama "Datmo Tsousi" (1994) with Yee Tung-sing. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Jackie Chan comedy "Miracles" (2001), "A Battle of Wits" (2006) with Andy Lau and "Luo Ye Gui Gen" (2007) with Zhao Benshan. He also appeared in the action flick "14 Blades" (2014) with Donnie Yen. Wu Ma last acted in "Fighting" (2014). Wu Ma passed away in February 2014 at the age of 72.
