William Nadylam

French actor William Nadylam's first feature credit came not from on-camera work, but as a voice actor in the animated film "Kirikou and the Sorceress" (1998), telling the mythological African tale of a boy who helps his village defeat an evil witch. He next appeared in French film and TV, along with an occasional guest role on English-language shows like "Murphy's Law" (BBC One, 2001-07). He gained international exposure in "White Material" (2009). Directed by Claire Denis and starring Isabelle Huppert and Christophe Lambert, the film earned wide-ranging acclaim. Nadylam also continued to work on stage, notably collaborating with respected director Peter Brook on "The Magic Flute," staged at Lincoln Center in 2011, and again in 2014 on a production of "The Suit." Nadylam's most widely seen performance to date came in "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" (2018), playing the powerful wizard Yusuf Kama.
