Whitney Avalon
Whitney Avalon was born Whitney Sara Cohen. From early on, she embraced what would prove to be a lifelong interest in performing, going on to study Theater Arts at Brandeis University. Avalon began pursuing a career on the screen alongside her academic career, making her film acting debut with small parts in "The Gray Man" (2002) and "Mona Lisa Smile" (2003). She graduated from Brandeis in 2003, after which time she continued to act and perform both in film, TV, and internet videos. In 2010, Avalon began creating her own original videos by way of her YouTube channel, kicking off the trade with a parody of the then-popular Cee Lo Green song "F--k You." In the years to follow, she accrued more and more work on television, appearing on the likes of "The Big Bang Theory" (CBS 2007-) and "Days of Our Lives" (NBC 1965-). However, her real success in video creation started in 2014, when she conceived of the "Princess Rap Battle" series, in which she and a second actress would perform rap numbers while in character as famous princesses from American fiction and pop culture; the first of these videos featured Avalon as Snow White opposite performer Katja Glieson as Elsa from "Frozen" (2013). Attention gleaned from the "Princess Rap Battle" series over the following years earned Avalon a role on another high-profile comedy web series, "Edgar Allan Poe's Murder Mystery Dinner Party," which debuted in 2016.
