Wesley Eure
An American character actor best known for his roles on daytime TV, Wesley Eure is perhaps most recognized for his seven-year stint as Dr. Michael William Horton on the long-running soap opera "Days of Our Lives." Eure studied drama at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. After a chance meeting with Robert Goulet led to his being hired as a production assistant for the performer, Eure began his own bid for stardom, appearing in various regional stage productions on the east coast. Eure later moved to Los Angeles after he was picked to replace David Cassidy on "The Partridge Family." But when the series was cancelled before he could make his debut, he landed in daytime on the immensely popular "Days of Our Lives." Eure played the role of Dr. Michael Horton for almost eight years, between 1974 and 1981, while also starring in the popular children's series "Land of the Lost." In later decades Eure's involvement in acting became sporadic as he began focusing much of his energies on writing children's books and fundraising for the March of Dimes.
