Virginia Sale

Virginia Sale was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in her acting career, Sale landed roles in various films, including "Below the Deadline" (1929), "Back Pay" (1930) and "Lovin' the Ladies" (1930). She also appeared in the drama "Showgirl in Hollywood" (1930) with Alice White, the dramatic adventure "Moby Dick" (1930) with John Barrymore and "Gold Dust Gertie" (1931). She continued to act in productions like "Those We Love" (1932), "Oliver Twist" (1933) and "The Iron Master" (1933). She also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "The Man With Two Faces" (1934) with Edward G Robinson. Toward the end of her career, she continued to act in "Miss Polly" (1941), the Shirley Temple Black romance "Miss Annie Rooney" (1942) and "The Big Shot" (1942). She also appeared in "Dark Mountain" (1944) and the Randolph Scott western "Badman's Territory" (1946). Sale more recently acted in the Victor Buono adventurous drama "Big Daddy" (1969). Sale's husband was Sam Wren and Sale had two children. Sale passed away in August 1992 at the age of 93.
