Virginia Kull

Born in Dallas, TX, Virginia Kull originally wanted to be a doctor, but caught the acting bug while in high school. She studied theater at the Meadows School of the Arts at SMU, graduating in 2004. After a stint with the Dallas Shakespeare Theater, Kull moved to New York City in order to pursue her craft. Before long, Kull was appearing on a number of highly successful TV shows, including "Boardwalk Empire" (HBO, 2010-14), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" NBC, 1999-), "Nurse Jackie" (Showtime, 2009-2015), "Person of Interest" (CBS, 2011-16), "The Good Wife" (CBS, 2009-2016), and "The Following" (FOX, 2013-15), before landing her first series regular gig as Beth Solano on "Gracepoint" (FOX, 2014-), the poorly received American remake of the acclaimed UK crime drama "Broadchurch" (ITV, 2013-17). Kull made her film debut with a lead role in the comedic mystery "Imperfections" (2016). The next year was especially busy, as Kull appeared in five of the biggest TV projects of the year: "Sneaky Pete" (Amazon Video, 2015-), "This Is Us" (NBC, 2016-), "Big Little Lies" (HBO, 2017), "Twin Peaks: The Return" (Showtime, 2017), and "Get Shorty" (Epix, 2017-). After celebrating the Sundance premiere of the well-received kidnapping drama "Nancy" (2018) alongside co-stars Andrea Riseborough, Steve Buscemi, and Ann Down, Kull took on a controversial role in the espionage miniseries "The Looming Tower" (Hulu, 2018), based on the rivalry that developed between the CIA and the FBI in the late 90s leading up to the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
