Victor Borge
As a well-versed Danish entertainer, Victor Borge had a diverse career in the entertainment business. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Perry Como Special" (1964-65) and "The Carpenters" (1976-77). He also acted in various film roles at the time, appearing in the Michèle Morgan adaptation "Higher and Higher" (1943) and the dramatic comedy "The King of Comedy" (1983) with Robert De Niro. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The All-Star Salute to Ford's Theatre" (1985-86), "Evening at Pops (08/17/86)" (1985-86) and "Remembering Bing" (1987-88). He also appeared in "Bernstein at 70" (1988-89). He also appeared at "The 52nd Annual Golden Globe Awards" (1994-95). Borge last appeared in "The Kennedy Center Honors: A Celebration of the Performing Arts" (1999-2000). Borge was married to Elsie Borge and had five children. Victor Borge passed away in December 2000 at the age of 91.
