Valerie Allen
Valerie Allen was an actress who graced the silver screen many times throughout her Hollywood career. Allen kickstarted her acting career in comedies like the Dean Martin film "Pardners" (1956), "That Certain Feeling" (1956) with Bob Hope and Eva Marie Saint and "The Birds and the Bees" (1956) with George Gobel and Mitzi Gaynor. She worked in series television while getting her start in acting, including a part on "The Bob Cummings Show" (CBS, 1954-59). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the Shirley Booth dramatic adaptation "Hot Spell" (1958) and "Pillow Talk" (1959). She also worked in television around this time, including a part on "The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca" (ABC, 1958-1960). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Danny Kaye biopic "The Five Pennies" (1959), the Judy Holliday comedy adaptation "Bells Are Ringing" (1960) and "Whatever Happened to Aunt Alice?" (1969) with Daisy Gerber. She also was featured in the TV movie "The Borgia Stick" (NBC, 1966-67). Allen more recently wrote "Vega$" (ABC, 1978-1981).
