Tyler Blackburn

Tyler Blackburn was born in Burbank, CA. Of English, Welsh, Czech, Swedish, and Cherokee descent, he pursued an entertainment career at a young age. He began acting in 2005 and made his television debut on the comedy series "Unfabulous" (Nickelodeon, 2004-07), which starred Emma Roberts as a junior high student who often sang about the ups-and-downs of being a teen. Blackburn followed it up with his first feature film role, playing a French student in the family drama "Next of Kin" (2008), which revolved around a brother and sister who reunite after 15 years following their mother's tragic death. Blackburn's first regular TV appearance came in 2010 when he was cast as a computer hacker on the popular daytime drama "Days of Our Lives." An avid fan of bands like the Black Keys, Blackburn also dabbled in music while pursuing his acting career. His song "Save Me" was featured on the Web series "Wendy," co-produced by Alloy Entertainment and Macy's department stores.Blackburn landed his breakthrough role in 2011 when he joined the cast of ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars" during its second season. Based on the popular young-adult novels by Sara Shepard, "Pretty Little Liars" revolved around four young women and an anonymous figure named "A" who threatens to reveal their dark secrets. The series starred Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson and Troian Bellisario. Blackburn played Caleb Rivers, a foster child and bad boy who initially set out to sabotage the four friends, but as the series progressed, turned into an onscreen love interest for Benson. That same year, he starred in the film "Peach Plum Pear," a drama that followed a troubled young man from Los Angeles (Blackburn) who finds himself stranded in a small Nebraska town during a cross country road trip.
