Trippie Redd
Trippie Redd, born Michael Lamar White IV, in Canton, Ohio, emerged as a prominent figure in the SoundCloud rap scene. He grew up in a troubled household but found solace in music, drawing inspiration from artists like T-Pain and Lil Wayne. Trippie Redd began releasing music online as a teenager and quickly gained attention with his distinctive style that blended elements of hip-hop, rock, and R&B. His breakout single, "Love Scars," became a viral hit when he debuted it on SoundCloud. He soon dropped his debut mixtape, "A Love Letter to You," in 2017, which led to a record deal with TenThousand Projects. Trippie Redd's subsequent project, his first studio album "Life's a Trip" (2018) debuted in the top ten of the Billboard 200. His fourth mixtape "A Love Letter to You 4" (2019) saw even greater success debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. Known for his unique vocal style and eclectic sound, he collaborated with various artists, expanding his influence well beyond the SoundCloud rap community. His 2020 studio album "Pegasus" received lukewarm critical reviews but was commercially very successful with a deluxe edition released a few months later titled "Neon Shark vs Pegasus" (2021). Trippie Redd released two albums in 2023, "Mansion Musik" on January 20, 2023 and "A Love Letter To You 5" in the summer of 2023.
