Trey Wingo
Hal Chapman Wingo III, known as Trey, grew up in Greenwich, Conn., the son of Hal C. Wingo Jr., founder of People magazine. After his 1985 graduation from Baylor University, he began his career in journalism with NBC's "News at Sunrise" in New York. He also spent time as sports director for WMGC in Allentown, Pa., and had stints on stations in Binghamton, N.Y. and St. Louis, Mo. In 1997 he joined ESPN, where he's been featured on a number of shows. He provided play-by-play for "AFL on ESPN" with Mark Schereth. He also hosts "Who's No. 1?" along with hosting "NFL Primetime" with Merril Hoge. In November 2017, he became the new co-host of the ESPN Radio morning show that is now titled "Golic & Wingo," teaming with host Mike Golic and replacing Mike Greenberg. Off-camera, Wingo is involved with a number of charities, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. He is also active with the Special Olympics and the Children's Hospital of Chicago. Wingo is married to Janice Parmelee.
