Toni Lamond

Toni Lamond AM (born as Patricia Lamond Lawman), is an Australian vaudevillian, cabaret performer, singer, actress, dancer, comedian, writer and television and radio personality/presenter. She has had a successful career spanning some 80 years, both locally and internationally, including in the United Kingdom and United States. Lamond, who comes from a family involved in the performing arts, started her career as a child actor vaudeville/variety entertainment aged ten and was the first woman in the world to host a midday show. The second was her younger half-sister Helen Reddy. Alongside her showbiz contemporaries Jill Perryman and Nancye Hayes, Lamond has been called one of the three grand dames of Australian musical theatre, and in her prime a talent that could rival Doris Day.

While at a sleepover, Margaux tells Punky and Cherie that she enters beauty pageants because she wants her parents to be able to brag about her to their friends, and she wants them to be proud of her. Punky thinks that's why her mother Susan abandoned her, because she never made Susan proud, so she decides to not make the same mistake with Henry. Cherie, Margaux and Punky enter the Miss Adorable Pageant, hosted by Andy Gibb. Margaux sings the song "I Enjoy Being A Girl". Cherie does a magic trick, and Punky does pet tricks with Brandon "the Wonder Dog", who doesn't really want to do any tricks. As it turns out, Cherie wins, and Punky is happy for her, but sad that she let Henry down. Henry assures Punky that she doesn't have to win a pageant to make him proud of her. -tv.com

Murder On Stage 17

A down-and-out movie clown lives like a hermit in a major motion picture studio -- appearing long enough to kill his former enemies in "Murder on Stage 17." Plastic explosives are switched for a small special effects smoke device and a bit player is killed on a movie set. Starsky and Hutch enter the case as stuntmen on the film. They are subjected to every possible humi-liation, (real fights and repeated beers in the face), before they discover a former movie funnyman, long thought dead, as a possible suspect. The man, whose career failed years before, dons costumes and makeup disguises to prowl the lot - killing those he feels thwarted his shot at stardom. Soon enough, he sets his sights on Starsky and Hutch.
