Tommy Cook

At the age of 11, Tommy Cook kickstarted his acting career. Cook started his acting career landing roles in such films as the Frances Gifford adventure "Jungle Girl" (1941), the James Warren western "Wanderer of the Wasteland" (1945) and the Johnny Weissmuller adventure "Tarzan and the Leopard Woman" (1946). He also appeared in the Glenn Ford drama "Gallant Journey" (1946), "The Homestretch" (1947) with Cornel Wilde and "Cry of the City" (1948) with Victor Mature. He kept working in film throughout the forties and the fifties, starring in "Bad Boy" (1949), the dramatic sports film "The Kid From Cleveland" (1949) with George Brent and the war "An American Guerrilla in the Philippines" (1950) with Tyrone Power. He also appeared in the drama "Panic in the Streets" (1950) with Richard Widmark. Cook continued to exercise his talent in the fifties through the seventies, taking on a mix of projects like "Missile to the Moon" with Richard Travis (1959), "Send Me No Flowers" with Rock Hudson (1964) and "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour" (NBC, 1968-1970). His credits also expanded to "Rollercoaster" (1977) starring George Segal. Cook more recently worked on "Players" (1979).
