Tom Watson

While Tom Watson was widely recognized for his skills on the golf course, he found new fame in the entertainment world. To break into the world of acting, Watson held roles in films like "Another Time, Another Place" (1983) with Phyllis Logan and Giovanni Mauriello and "Haunters of the Deep" (1984) with Andrew Keir and Barbara Ewing. He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The U.S. Open Golf Championship" (ABC, 1985-86) and "The British Open" (ABC, 1985-86). In the eighties and the nineties, Watson devoted his time to various credits, such as "Dreams Lost, Dreams Found" (Showtime, 1987-88), "Silent Scream" (1990) starring Iain Glen and "Crossing the Line" (1991) starring Liam Neeson. He also worked on "Cliffhanger" (1993). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Slab Boys" (1997), the Adrian Dunbar thriller "The Near Room" (1997) and "The Winter Guest" (1997). He also was featured in the TV movie "Miracle on the 17th Green" (CBS, 1999-2000). Most recently, Watson worked on the Anna Paquin drama "Margaret" (2011).
