Floyd expands his barbershop with the addition of a second barber. The new barber turns out to be a gambling bookie that Barney and Andy must catch in the act.
When a man is murdered in Wichita, Earp wants the Newton gang for it but Allen Pinkerton is interfering and more interested in recovering some stolen money. Due to Earp's actions, the Judge at Pinkerton's request takes Earp's badge.
Earp is asked by Wells Fargo to ride shotgun to help catch the Purvis gang. Earp agrees with conditions including a posse to follow the state but a grandmother complicates the situation when she refuses to wait for a later stage.
Earp receives a report of a wagon attacked by renegades. A group of freighters found them but were acting funny. Earp goes alone to investigate finding the freighters leaving two graves behind as he finds sign of a woman still alive.
The Major takes in a young boy who has lost his horse - but after the newcomer shoots two men trying to rob the train, other passengers fear him.
