Todd Jensen

While special effects technician Todd Jensen might not be a household name, he's worked on an impressive variety of films throughout his career--and many (if not most) of those films have been box-office smashes. Jensen started his career in the effects game, and he's stayed put. His first project was (in a rare exception) not a well-known film: the 1990 horror-thriller "Midnight Ride." But he followed that flop by working on one of the most beloved crime-dramas released in the early '90s: "Thelma & Louise," co-starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis (and featuring one of the most iconic endings in film history). Occasionally, Jensen found work on TV movies (including the 1993 horror-comedy "Body Bags"), but he's managed to work almost exclusively on the big screen. Throughout the years, Jensen has branched off into almost every genre imaginable, and in 2003, he even ventured into animation, providing effects for "Looney Tunes: Back in Action," a film re-boot of the classic Warner Bros. cartoon franchise. And while his eclecticism continued into the 2000s, Jensen found a niche with big-budget action-thrillers, including the Steven Spielberg-directed remake "War of the Worlds," the stylish sleeper-hit remake "Iron Man," and (working again with Speilberg) the long-awaited sequel "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."
