Tito Guizar

Tito Guizar was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Guizar's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the musical "The Big Broadcast of 1938" (1938) with W C Fields, "Tropic Holiday" (1938) with Dorothy Lamour and "St. Louis Blues" (1939) with Dorothy Lamour. He also appeared in "The Llano Kid" (1939). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the forties, appearing in the Penny Singleton comedy "Blondie Goes Latin" (1941), "Brazil" (1944) and "Mexicana" (1945). In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in the musical "The Thrill of Brazil" (1946) with Evelyn Keyes, the Roy Rogers western "On the Old Spanish Trail" (1947) and the Roy Rogers western "The Gay Ranchero" (1948). Guizar's music was most recently used in the crime drama "Palmetto" (1998) with Woody Harrelson. Guizar passed away in December 1999 at the age of 91.
