Tim McInnerny

British actor Tim McInnerny is most often recognized for his role as Percy from the first two seasons of Rowan Atkinson's historical sitcom, "The Blackadder." A graduate of Oxford's Wadham College, McInnerny made his television debut on the popular BBC series in 1982, where, like many of the show's other players, he portrayed a series of characters who shared the same name--in his case: Percy. In 1985, he strove to display his talent for more serious fare with a supporting role in "Wetherby," the BAFTA-nominated mystery movie. While he re-teamed with Atkinson the following year for "Black-Adder II," in which he was now Lord Percy, McInnerny rebuffed a chance to reprise his role in the third series, "Black Adder the Third," for fear of being typecast. He did, however, accept a one-off role in that production, also returning for "Blackadder Goes Forth," playing Captain Kevin Darling. This made him one of three actors to appear in each Blackadder adventure; the other two were the show's stars, Atkinson and Tony Robinson. McInnerny has explored roles on both stage and screen, taking to comedies of various shades. In 1996, he landed a supporting role in the live-action family comedy "101 Dalmatians," and shortly thereafter, he took a small role in "Notting Hill," the Julia Roberts/Hugh Grant romantic comedy. In 2006, he stepped into the blood-soaked realm of horror-comedy with the office retreat-centric "Severance." In 2010, McInnerny starred in the plague centered drama "Black Death."
