Teryl Rothery

Canadian actress Teryl Rothery broke into show business via an unusual route during mid-1980s--she began her career in voice work for Japanese anime, contributing to English versions of numerous imported shows, most notably "Ranma ½" and "Dragon Ball Z." In the early '90s, she appeared mostly in small parts in made-for-TV movies and was eventually featured in a more high-profile role in one '94 episode of "The X-Files." Rothery finally got her big break in '97 when she joined the cast of "Stargate SG-1," a sci-fi TV series based on the earlier "Stargate" feature film. The show proved to be remarkably successful, and she remained on the series until its seventh season. Though she briefly appeared in the feature comedy "Best in Show," Rothery has generally been featured in recurring roles on various TV series, including "Dead Like Me," "Kyle XY," and "Caprica," reinforcing her knack for working on sci-fi/fantasy projects.
