Ellington continued to alternate between independent and studio releases, including a turn as Priority Records chief Bryan Turner "Straight Outta Compton" (2015), and steady work as a guest performer on television series, most notably as Mindy's supervisor on two episodes of "The Mindy Project" (Fox/Hulu, 2012-). In 2015, Ellington became a series regular on the action-drama "Quantico," playing a FBI trainee with a talent for foreign languages.
