Tania Saulnier
Tania Saulnier will forever be associated with the role of teenager Kylie Strutemyer in James Gunn's knowing 2006 creature feature "Slither." Waking up in the bath just before an alien slug can strike, she splatters it with a curling tong before making her escape in a pick-up truck as her family succumbs to the slimy invaders. Eight years earlier, the Canadian had abandoned competitive dancing for acting and debuted in the TV series "Cold Squad." She made her feature bow in the romcom "Limp," which she followed with ensemble turns in a couple of contrasting teleplays, the crime drama "The Darklings" and the coming-of-age fantasy "Ratz." Having made an impression as Jenna Barnum in "Smallville," Saulnier landed the recurring role of Taylor Langford in the Nickelodeon teen drama "Caitlin's Way" and played the long-lost daughter in the kidnap teleplay "Found." Yet, even though she guested in shows like "Supernatural," she still had to settle for walk-ons in comedies such as "Cheats" and "She's the Man." Indeed, not even her cult "Slither" moment transformed her fortunes, as she accepted bits in the dramas "The Invisible" and "Elegy," the horror remake "The Wicker Man" and the sword and sorcery actioner "In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale." In 2010, she was one of the bevy of Aphrodite girls in the Greek myth adventure "Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief."
